Project Details
Within the BCR designed Chelmsford Business Park, Springfield Lyons House had suffered unsympathetic sub-division, neglect and vandalism over the years, followed by roofing material theft and damage from two fires. The clients acquired the property for their European Headquarters, and required additional floor space. A modern design solution for the new offices acted as a ‘foil’ which ensured that both the historic and the modern buildings were neither confused nor compromised. The link is fully glazed to neutralise the junction between the old and the new.
