Project Details
Set in the garden of a large family dwelling on a generous plot on a quiet estate road in Cambridge. Our clients were looking to create a garden pavilion to accommodate two home offices and a gym, as well as an external space to enjoy their quiet surroundings.
The pavilion sits comfortably in a clearing to the rear of the property that is mostly screened from the remainder of the garden and the surrounding gardens by mature tree planting. The building was designed under permitted development and it was important that the ridge height was kept low and that the pavilion was sited a suitable distance from the neighbouring boundaries.
This is a gentle building that sits well within the landscaped surroundings creating interest at the rear of this mature garden. The glimpse of the pavilion from the main house encourages the owners to use the building without it overpowering the garden.
