Project Details
BCR designed this new build 219 bed hotel with all its required facilities such as a breakfast bar, restaurant and back of house areas. The scheme also involved the design of the building footprint basement car parking, cycle parking, stores and hard and soft landscaping. The contract included the demolition of all existing buildings on the site. The challenge of this project and site was balancing the design requirements of the Travelodge with the Cambridge City Council’s Design and Conservation and the local Resident Association’s aspirations. The building has been awarded BREEAM ‘Very Good.
